About Reiki

The word Reiki comes from two Japanese kanjis. Rei  which is “Universal life force” and ki  for energy. This universal life force is the highest vibration and frequency, that comes from the universe or “source."

Reiki is used to help realign and balance the body. It is used after an injury and before and after surgery to allow the body to heal more quickly. It can also be beneficial for addressing issues like anxiety, stress, burnout, PTSD, trauma,
depression and grief.

Reiki energy goes to the place that needs healing first and allows the cells of the body to realign to help promote the healing process. During a Reiki healing session, the recipient of the therapy will typically experience feelings of heat, coolness and/or energy vibration (which feels like a small electrical current). After the treatment, they typically feel relaxed and comfortable. Over the next few days, they usually notice changes in their bodies, experience less pain and see their sleep improve.

Over the past two decades, Reiki has gained wider acceptance in the medical establishment. Hospitals are seeing the effectiveness of the treatments and also the increased patient satisfaction. Many hospitals now include Reiki in their patient services.

It is important to note that Reiki is spiritual in nature yet is NOT a religion. There is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not.
