Amy's Journey

hospital

As life passed, I found myself dealing with my ailing mother. After many years, her struggle with COPD finally reached the point where she would succumb to her disease. I was very dedicated to her helping her in any way that I could over the years. The experience of sitting next to her knowing she will never get better was overwhelming and stressful.

I will never forget the last five words she said to me: “You need to try harder.”  I was devastated, crushed beyond belief. I felt I had accomplished so much professionally during my life.  However, my priority then was the health and wellbeing of my mother.

After hearing her words, I sank into a deep depression and withdrew into myself. I couldn't work and my relationships suffered. My family pleaded with me to seek help. So I saw a therapist who suggested I try Reiki energy healing. Though I had no idea what that was, I decided to try it. My first session was life changing!  I felt so different.

Reiki energy healing helped me get through my depression. It helped me find my self-worth: not only intellectually acknowledging it but also believing it and living it. I would not be the person I am today if it were not for Reiki energy healing.  Reiki energy healing may be able to help you and your animals, too!

I realized at a young age my mission in life is to help people. At 14 years old I volunteered to be a candy striper. (Yes, the pink apron with pockets so deep they reach China!) My responsibilities included delivering get better cards and flowers, and helping out in the pharmacy preparing patients' medication.

Continuing my helping journey in the medical field, I earned a degree in Respiratory Care and worked in that field at several hospitals in the Twin Cities. I later transitioned to sleep medicine and worked as a Registered Polysomnograhic Technologist & Registered Sleep Technologist.
